Obituary of Arlene E Jacks

Arlene Elaine Jacks passed from this life on October 31, 2020 and went home to be with her husband, Ron. She was born to Elaine and William Gray on March 9, 1935, in Indianapolis, Indiana and was the mother of four. In Arlene’s earlier years, she was an avid golfer and bowler. As years progressed, she enjoyed a good book, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, a good glass of wine, and just being in nature. She particularly enjoyed spending time at her daughter and son-in-law’s tree farm in Rockville. Recently she was able to spend time at their new house on the tree farm and was planning on moving there with them. She also enjoyed watching sports, especially IU basketball and the Colts. She always looked forward to family gatherings and embraced the time spent together. She provided us a lot of good memories and was always there to help us endure the bad times. She was an extremely strong, independent, and proud woman, and will greatly missed, but will always be in our hearts. Arlene was survived by her sisters Nora Poole, Sandy Medaris and Doris Gray (sister-in-law); her children Vicky Pardee (Mike), Becky Lawson, Steven Hendricks; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elaine and William Gray; husband, Ronald Jacks; sister, Joyce Gault; brother, William Gray; son, Clifford Hendricks; and grandchildren Michael R Pardee and Courtney Pardee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Indiana Parkinson Foundation 14350 Mundy Drive Suite 800 #181, Noblesville, IN 46060. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at West Ridge Park Cemetery 9295 W 21st St, Indianapolis, IN 46234.
