Dorris Vivian Adams Downey 95, departed this life on Tuesday, December 8, 2009. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to Valrico, Florida in 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward F. Downey. She is survived by her children, Dee D. Spivey and William H. Mendell, III (Sylvia); grandchildren, William J. Mendell (Jenni), Elizabeth Rieder (Greg), Margaret Mendell, Michael K. Schroeder, Jack Edward Mendell (Jessica); and 5 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. with visitation from 10a.m. until time of Mass on Monday, December 14 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 16th and Lynhurst.
