We just found out our great friend, a good man, Chris has passed. We've known him most of our life and he was the best man at our wedding in 1987. Dave and Chris were roommates before that. Here's how special he was...unbeknownst to us, after our wedding ceremony, he went around the church and gathered up all of our candles from the candle holders that were burning that day. He wrapped them in a box with some other wedding memorabilia and gave it to us on our 1st anniversary. And, he sent us an anniversary card every single year. Every year. He loved coming up to the lake and spending the weekend with us, boating, having a beer, playing cribbage. He had a great property in Brown County that made him so happy and loved bringing us and our sons there to target shoot. Our hearts are breaking. If someone from the family would like to contact us, we would welcome it. We miss you Chris.
I had the privilege of working with Chris off and on for years as a Manager at FedEx.He was excellent at his job and his attitude was always uplifting. The kind of human being you hate to lose..My deepest sympathy to your family..Tim Davis
I'm so sorry for your loss! I haven't seen him for a long time but I do know that Chris was always a very sweet and wonderful person that never hesitated to help anyone!! Chris will be dearly missed. Thoughts and prayers to all of his family and friends. Regan Starnes

My prayers go out for him and all your family.

Chris was the kindest and most generous person we know. I never had worry about an appliance not working or car problems because I could always count on Chris to rescue me. He was like a big brother to me and a father to my kids. We love Chris so much and will treasure our memories of him forever.
So sorry for your loss of another son Dick. Sherrell has welcomed Chris into heaven with open arms. Please know that prayers will be offered for you and your family.
My prayers are with you Dick. I have so many fond memories of the Niemeyer family and all their handsome sons. I am just a few blocks away if I can help in any way.
Chris was perhaps the kindest soul Jeremiah and I have known. Always with a big smile he greeted everyone and with kind words. If ever there was a person who should still be here it is Chris. We have never met his father and brothers, however we would like to offer our most sincere condolences, love and kindness through this time. Jeremiah was able to visit Chris very recently and they spent a few hours visiting and catching up. We are so grateful for that opportunity. Sadness in our hearts and love forever for you Chris!! Jeremiah and Sheila
