Obituary of Charles Hutchens
Charles R. Hutchens Sr., 86, of Indianapolis passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020. He was born in Sheridan, Indiana on September 2, 1933 to Kathryn Laverne (Kellam) Hutchens and Russell Hutchens. Charles graduated from Sheridan High School. He served in the United States Army. Charles was the owner and screen printer for Preferred Advertising until the company close in 2014. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a USO volunteer. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, auto racing and hockey. He was passionate about traveling. Charles loved watching his grandkids play soccer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Russell B. Hutchens and Timothy A. Hutchens; brother, Robert E. Hutchens; and his first wife, Beverly Jo Hutchens. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 16 years, Judy Turner; son, Charles R. Hutchens Jr. of Indianapolis; daughter, Donna M. Jenkins of Cincinnati, OH; seven grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lee Hutchens Inskeep and Bonnie Jean Hutchens West; stepson, Nathan A. Turner of Columbus, OH; stepdaughter, Leah C. Turner of Elburn, IL; and three step-grandchildren.
