Condolences
It's a little strange. I haven't seen or spoken to Petey in 60 years. But I remember him. I was 6. He was 10. He was my older brother's age, one of the "big kids." I was Theresa's age. But he was kind, and nice, funny and fun, and was good to the "little kids." And when I read his obituary, it took me back; 1959, Concord Street. And it brought a grin. I watched his tribute video and read his condolences, and saw what a great life he had lived and what a good man he was; just like the "big kid" he was in 1959. I send my condolences to his family, and my wishes of everlasting peace to Petey.

Dear Patty and family,
Pete has always been an incredible inspiration, profound friend and just so so good. I miss him so much. He is in the full light and love of God, which means he is so close to us, in a new way.

Dear Patty & Family - I am sorry and deeply saddened by your family’s tremendous loss of Pete. Please know you are being held close in my daily thoughts and prayers during this painfully difficult time. Sending my heartfelt condolences and many hugs for all.
I worked with Pete for many years at Puritan Bennett and recently ran into he and Patty at IU West. Even though I could see his health was failing, he still had a smile on his face. Heartfelt sympathy to Patty and family.
PATTY,
I am very sorry for your loss.My deepest sympathy to you and family

Dear Patty, My deepest condolences. Thinking of you. Sincerely, Pat Bowman Oliver
Pete was Patty's beloved husband and a brother to all of us who instantly loved him. That laugh- it was always there because he just loved people and had a way with them just like he had a way with animals. That gift of knowing how to connect. I will miss so many things about Pete because I have so many good memories during the 40+ years. Pete, I don't know how you put up with all of us, laughing through it all! Your generous nature was always there for us, whether we needed a little brotherly advice, a helping of us, or just to make us laugh during a rough patch, always letting me ride one your horses. And the fun! Teaching us to square dance on the back patio!
Patty and Pete were just right for each other and blessed us all with their example of love and strength together. You were a shining light on this earth, and now your light remains in our hearts forever. I love you Pete and as Jean says, will see you again our dear dear friend.
Patty: I am so sorry to hear about Pete’s passing. I remember when you two started dating when we all worked at Link Belt. I’ve never forgotten you and Pete and it was great seeing all your Facebook posts enjoying life! My deepest sympathy to you and your family during this very difficult time. RIP Pete!
Petie was a playmate of mine growing up on Concord Street. He was a great pal and always fun to be around. He is gone too soon. Peace and consolation to his family.
It was a pleasure to have known Pete. We met through a dear friend we had in common, Jim Furnas.
We 3 had a number of very enjoyable meetings, over the years, target shooting, or just talking guns and cars.
Pete always brought a smile and wonderful attitude to any gathering. He will be missed by all who knew him.
GOD BLESS PETE
Pete was my "big brother" always there to protect me, talk me through life crises. He had wide shoulders, not just for me, but many others. I loved him like a brother, my heart is heavy with his passing. I know a huge void will be felt by many. He fought so bravely for so long,, a stronger man I will never know. Thank God for Patty who was there for his every need. Wish I could have said goodbye. We shall meet again someday where there will be no suffering.
Pete's friendship was such a priceless gift to so many.
I will always cherish the great trail riding memories with
Pete and his buddy,John. Happy Trails Good Friend.
I worked with " Pistol Pete" many years at HCSD , some serious moments but MORE fun times than bad. I worked with many officers over the years but none finer than Pete! We will miss him immensely and pray for his soul and he is finally at peace. 10-42 ! Ralph and Debbie Copeland
I love you Pete! I will always remember your kind spirit, beautiful smile, the best laugh ever, generosity, the special love you and Patty had for 40years. The loving way you cared for your family and friends. You fought hard and now you can rest. Ride off into heaven Pete and I know I will see you again
Pete gave me his 12-string guitar just as soon as I showed any aptitude with a guitar. Last Thanksgiving, my friend Anna and I were playing some "old-time" music to entertain the family, and Pete was front row tapping his toes and showing his appreciation.
This is only one of countless ways that Pete loved and encouraged his family members to be their best selves and live their lives. He was one of the smartest, kindest, warmest people I've ever known
Heartfelt Sympathy to you and yours Patty. My heart breaks for you. Pete will be sorely missed-Rest In Peace In Heaven Pete.
Deepest sympathy and love to you Patty and family
Pete was the picture of courage. He fought cancer for many years and almost never complained. He and Patty had the best marriage. They both shared most of the same interests. Pete was always ready to go to any activity. He loved all the kids . Even spoiled mine. I love you Pete. You will be missed.
