Obituary of Marjorie White

Marjorie Evelyn White, “Granny” as she was lovingly known, was born on November 1, 1937. She was one of five children born to Russell and Martha Clark in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was educated in the Danville Community School System. Soon after she married the love of her life Jim Tearl White; affectionately known as “James.” They made their home in Indianapolis and had two children. Marjorie was a dedicated employee at Public Service Indiana, American State Insurance and K-Mart. One of Marjorie’s favorite pastimes was baking; this was truly one of her special gifts. She also enjoyed traveling with her late husband James. They enjoyed traveling all over the country and spending time with one another. In addition to baking and traveling, Marjorie enjoyed studying her ancestry and genealogy. Marjorie was a great wife, sister, grandmother, mom and an all-around beautiful person, inside and out. She was a special lady indeed. Marjorie Evelyn White departed this earthly life on May 12, 2020 at the tender age of 82 years, six months and eleven days. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim (James) White; her parents Russell and Martha Clark, her siblings; Russell Clark, Walter Lee, Raymond Paul, Anna Mae, and William Addison.
