Obituary of Johnny Robertson
Johnny Lee Robertson 79, of Brownsburg, IN, formerly of Shirley, IN, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011. Johnny was born on September 25, 1931 in Henry County, Indiana to Robert and Laura Robertson. Johnny served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. He was a mechanic on the B-29 bomber aircraft. As a civilian he worked for the state of Indiana Family and Social Services Administration as a print shop supervisor, retiring after 38 years of faithful service. He also received the Distinguished Hoosier award from then Governor Evan Bayh in 1994. Johnny spent his final days surrounded by his family and friends. He enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. The family wishes to thank Pastor Lopez of Faith Baptist Church Avon, IN and the professional and caring staff of Brownsburg Healthcare. A private burial will be held. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Phyllis Ann (Estell); daughter, Lori Ann Robertson and brother, Robert Robertson.
