I was his squadleader and served with Frankie in Vietnam with Delta Co., 1st Battallion, 26th Marines. He never shirked from the most hazardous of situations and could always be relied upon during the worst of things. Steadfast and courageous when those qualities counted most. After many years apart, I last saw Frankie at a small Delta Company reunion in 2007 in Indianapolis. He was still the guy I knew in Nam and we stayed in touch by phone over subsequent years. I just earned of his passing and it saddens me greatly. He was a damn proud Marine and I'm proud to call him my friend. Rest in peace, Brother . Semper Fi!
Many years of good times and great discussions, straight forward and honest Not many like you! Going to miss you brother.
Will miss the fun times I had with you Frankie John! You were fun to be with. Always laughing and smiling and poking fun. Your service to our country was immeasurable. Rest in Peace my brother!
Frankie John, you will be missed. As a lifelong friend to me and all the others from Haughville, our lives would not be the same without you in them. When we were with you growing up we never knew what we would get into , but we could trust that you had our backs in any situation— and there were some doozies! God rest your soul Frankie. Our deepest sympathies to Randy and Loretta. Johnny Blazic and family.
To my cousin Frankie John, From what I remember growing up around You and my brother Lenny, is that you guys made my life HELL. But, what I loved about you guys is that, you are MARINES, and that, I respected. It was because of You and Lenny that I became a MARINE. Thank YOU, So, from the Halls of Montezuma to the Shores of Tripoli, "SEMPER FI MARINE," You are loved and you will be missed. Say hi to Lenny for me, when you get home.
Rest In Peace, Frankie John. I will always remember your sweet smile & the fun times you had with my brothers. Condolences & love to Randy & Loretta!

May The Lord find you all comfort during this difficult time. RIP Frankie John.
Always a good friend, and always a lot of fun. Added a good part to our growing up.
Frankie John,
I'm glad that I had the opportunity to grow up with you on Haugh.
I'll never forget your Nam stories.
I know the Lord is taking care of you.
