Your dad would stop in and spend the night at Moms and took before anyone could get up..He sure did get up early . I was so glad to see them right after Mom passed away. Sandy, thinking of you and your family. Irene will be sadly missed by all of us. We will miss spending Fourth of July with her at dad's; she was always a joy to be around. Praying for you and your family. - John Montgomery and Family
Irene truly loved books. She was a faithful volunteer at Speedway Public Library. And she was a long-term member of the Library's book discussion group. She was willing to tackle any selection, fiction or nonfiction, and found many that she enjoyed greatly. She was particularly happy with any that reminded her of her Kentucky upbringing. She was a gentle lady and lifelong learner, who appreciated books and shared her love of them.
