Mary Ellen Wolter Indianapolis – Age 93, passed away on January 9, 2020. Mary was born October 20, 1926 to the late Orlando Perfect Paul O’Donley (Barney)Davis and Leona Mae Davis. Mary graduated from Syracuse High School in 1944. Mary came to Indianapolis from Syracuse in 1946 and found work at Eli Lily & Co. where she later met her husband, Robert. Mary enjoyed crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, and playing a variety of card games. The last few months she lived at Westside Garden Plaza where she loved playing bingo and dirty poker. The family would like to thank the staff at the Bridge at Westside Garden Plaza and Heart to Heart Hospice for all they did for Mary. She is proceeded in death by her husband Robert, who died in 2002. Mary is survived by her sister Doris Armbruster, her four children; Robert M. Wolter (Sheila), Kathi A. Brooner (Allen), Nanci E. Duigou (Jason), and Shawn D. Lantz as well as her six grandchildren; Lesley A. Brooner, Kara M. Brooner-Martchek (Tom), Anthony K. Lantz, Caitlyn O. Lantz, Delaney R. Duigou, and Zachary M. Duigou, all of whom loved her very dearly. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 12pm – 1pm with a 1pm service at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 West 10th St. Indianapolis.
