Obituary of Hortense Ann Stanfield

Hortense Ann Stanfield

October 10th, 1950 – October 13th, 2019

Family and friends are welcome to attend visiting hours on Thursday, October 24th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, October 25th, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for Hortense “Ann” Stanfield, 69, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, October 13th.

For those of who have been blessed to know and love Ann, her passing is an immense loss. She will be greatly missed and forever adored by her family and friends. Her stories and her memory will live on with her three loving sisters, Emilee, Dee, and Angie, her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Kati, as well as her five adoring granddaughters, Ally, Stephanie, Raelyn, Anna, and Elayna, alongside countless other beloved family members and friends. And even in the face of this tremendous loss, they find comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her parents, William and Helen, her husband, Lenny, and her daughter, Michell.

Among many wonderful traits, Ann valued and cared for her family first and foremost. Some of her favorite things to do included having family dinners, sharing and telling stories, and spending as much time with the people she loved as much as she possibly could.

Ann also cared deeply for her two cats, as well as many other pets over the years. She was passionate about many things, including horseracing, playing bingo, crocheting, and enjoying old movies and musicals.

Everything she did and everywhere she went was always a little happier and a little brighter because of her. Her loud and lively laugh was notoriously contagious and filled many rooms and touched many hearts. No matter where she was, she could always make a friend out of a stranger, and spread love like wildflowers. She truly was a beautiful woman, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. And even now after her passing, her legacy of loving with all of her heart will live on in all of us.
