Condolences
I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. Having known him for more than 40 years I always appreciated his unique personality.
At first, one was like prey, being circled to see if you were friend of foe. Then, when you passed whatever his parameters we're for inclusion he became a good friend, very helpful co-worker and all around good guy.
Personally I appreciated his assistance with any and all situations dealing with photos I had to get involving the pace cars and their occupants and happenings surrounding that area of the pits.
A funny story regarding Don; every year the photo staff at IMS would be told to be sure and take pictures of any IMS staff as well as the usual things. Invariably one of the "newbies" on staff would shoot Bailey's picture, which was a no no per his wishes. All hell would be rendered upon that hapless individual as the boss had left out "except Bailey"
when he gave those instructions. (Purposely I'm sure.) Made all those newbies (including me) wonder if he was in witness protection.
You will be missed Don, hope you're enjoying your reunion with all from racing who've gone before.
