Obituary of Steven Smith

 

Steven Smith, 56, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 25, 2019. Steve was born on November 3, 1962 in Clinton, IN to LaMoine and Mary (Burton) Smith. Steve is preceded in death by father LaMoine; brothers Danny, Jim & Sammy Smith. Steve worked for Grocers Supply Company for 20 years. He was a die-hard Bears, Bulls and Cubs fan and loved Dale Sr. & Jr. and thoroughbred horse racing. Steve loved spending quality time with his nieces and nephews, and loved to spoil them at Christmas and on their birthdays. There are many fond memories of Steve staying up late playing games with them when they came over to spend the night at grandmas. There was always a nephew or niece around. Steve is survived by his mother Mary, brother Tommy (Theresa) Smith; sister Vanessa (Bill) Crow and Sister-In-Laws Teresa Smith (Danny’s wife) and Barb Smith (Sammy’s wife) and nieces and nephews Tammy, Alex & Elizabeth Cvetkovich, Lillie Browne, Karlie Bishop & Larkin Bryant. Daniel, Beth, Ayden, Cheyanne, Danni & Hank Smith and Faith Lawson. Mathew Smith & Tori Price, Samantha Smith, Sadie McQuery & Grace Houseknecht. Brian, Kiersten, Bryce, Shane & Mia Leigh & Karen Web. Lil Tommy, Nicholas, Tara Smith & Cyndi Ingle. Sammy, Kyle, Ryan, Waylon Smith and Dylan Crow who will miss him much more than words could ever express.  A visitation will be held “TODAY” Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th Street Indianapolis, IN. A funeral service will also be held in the mortuary on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow in Floral Park Cemetery.
