Judy Faye Velikan, 64, of Indianapolis, passed away January 10, 2010. She was born January 6, 1946. Judy worked as a latch key director at St. Gabriel Catholic Church for 20 years, retiring in 2002. She was a member of the KSKJ, Slovenian Women?s Union, SMPJ, Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Slovenian National Home. She also volunteered as a Girl?s Scout leader for 25 years. Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Showver and brother, Kenneth Leffler. She is survived by her husband, Jim Velikan; daughter, Jennifer Velikan; sister, Mary Crum; brother, Jim Leffler; aunt, Martha Leffler and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, January 15 at Stevens Mortuary & Family Center, 5520 W 10th St, Indpls, from 4-7:30 pm, with a 7:30 pm rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 16 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 10:30 am. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
