Obituary of Lucille Manuel
Lucille “Lucy” Manuel, 75, of Indianapolis passed away on October 18, 2017. Lucy was born in Albany, GA on January 1, 1942. She attended Attucks High School and then started her career at the Marriot Hotel at the age of sixteen. Lucy spent most of career in food service until she went to work for Wishard Hospital from 1991 and retired in 2005. In the late 60’s she fostered German Shephard and Doberman pups for the Indianapolis Police Department. Lucy loved to take bus trips to the casino, playing bingo, shopping and going out to eat. Lucy never learned to drive a car, but she was always going places. She loved visiting friends in Milwaukee. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Eddie Manuel. She is Survived by her son, Terry Lee Manuel; daughters, Linda D. Thompson and Sandra Clark; grandson, Jason Clark; granddaughters, Yvette Pierce and Maria Moreland; great-grandson, Bishop Clark, Justice Pierce and Phoenix Pierce; great-granddaughters, Madison Dance, Dorian Angell-Guire, Aiden Moreland and Paige Clark, all of Indianapolis, IN. In lieu of flowers the family kindly ask that donations be made in Lucy’s name to either charitable organization, American Diabetes Association 8604 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250 or Colon Cancer Alliance 1025 Vermont Ave NW #1066, Washington, DC 20005.
