Condolences
My condolences to the family. The loss of a loved one is never easy. May our loving God continue to bless and strengthen you as you remember that his Word the Bible at John 5:28, 29 says that there is going to be a resurrection. With this promise it is possible for you to see him again because we know that God can not lie. Usually at some point in time after the funeral when family and friends are gone, we may find ourselves all alone to deal with our grief. But please be assured that you are not alone. The best friend a bereaved person can have is our Creator, Jehovah God. We are encouraged at 1 Peter 5:7 to pour out our heart to him in prayer because "he cares for you." Moreover, he promises that all who do so will have their thoughts and feelings soothed by "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding." (Philppians 4:6, 7) May all the many wonderful memories that Charles your loved one provided comfort you during this most difficult time.
I met Mr. Newby last year and took a liking to him right off the bat. Every Wednesday he would make the rounds handing out his Ghirardelli chocolates and would always have my favorite a Raspberry chocolate, he really had me spoiled. Today was his birthday and he didn't want to have any fuss that he never went to the birthdays here. I said that I would have a mini party for him and he said he wouldn't come. Well........guess he told me, I know who had the last word on that subject. I cant scold him but I can still hold it against him. Heaven has welcomed a wonderful man who will always have a smile and kind word to everyone. Rest peacefully Mr. Newby
I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Charlie's family, sorry for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us that God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, may that bring you comfort in this time of sorrow.
Charlie will sure be missed at Crestwood (his 3rd floor coffee group especially for all the wisdom, fun, and fellowship he provided) it just won't be same here without him! I ask God to hold him in His care now as he transitions to this new phase, and to comfort his family in their loss.
