Obituary of Elizabeth A. Demczyk
Elizabeth A. (Donahue) Demczyk, 71, of Avon, IN passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Elizabeth was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 29, 1946 to John R. and Catherine A. (Langley) Donahue. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Casey S, Donahue. Elizabeth was a secretary and worked for the Gahanna-Jefferson Schools, and retired from the Three Rivers School District. She also volunteered with Twiggs at the Children’s Hospital and worked part time at the Pinnell Dance Center where she enjoyed spending her time the most. She was a devout catholic and was a member of St. Mary in Berea, Ohio; St. Matthew in Gahanna, Ohio; St. Teresa Benediction of the Cross in Bright, IN and currently attended St. Malachy in Brownsburg, IN. Elizabeth is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Walter V. Demczyk. She is also survived by her son, Daniel S. Demczyk of Jersey City, N.J.; daughters, Amy R. Hartman of Avon, IN and Sarah E. (Richard) Chase of Lake Wylie, S.C.; grandchildren, Payton Hartman and Joshua Hartman both of Avon, IN, Sydney Chase, Jackson Chase both of Lake Wylie, S.C.; brother, Dennis (Mercedes) Donahue of Olmstead, OH; sisters Shannon Donahue and Bridgett (Don) Wilson both of Cleveland, OH; brother-in-law, Jim Demczyk of Hebron, OH; sister-in-law, Sonja Michaels of Maggie Valley, N.C., several nieces and nephews and many close friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at St. Christopher Catholic Church 5301 W. 16th Street Speedway, IN with visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will take place in North Olmstead, OH.
