Obituary of Ellanora Schneider
Ellanora Schneider, 84, of Indianapolis went home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2017 surrounded by family. Ellanora was born in Leopold, IN on October 14, 1932 to John Edward and Clara Leona Damin. Ellanora was a loving daycare provider for over 30 years. She was a founding member of St. Michael Church. Ellanora was the beloved wife of Louis Edward for 46 years. Her greatest love was her family. Ellanora enjoyed working in the yard, especially her flowers. She especially loved all of her babies. She will be sorely missed by many.
Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the IU Hospice team that gave her tireless love and care for over a year, especially, nurse Kathy, Jocelyn, Mellisa, Kristine, Jennifer, Pooi, Barb and Robert; and also to her wonderful IU Dr.’s, Dr. Larosa, Dr. Duncan and Dr. Le.
Ellanora is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 46 years, Louis Edward; siblings, Louis Barden, Viola Kieser, Edith Oskins, Earl Damin and James (Eddie) Damin.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Doug) Gibbs, Mark Schneider, Kathy Schneider and Chris Schneider; grandchildren, Michael (Mary) Bewley, Jeremy (Amie) Bewley, Wendy (Jeff) Paton, Justin Schneider, Jonah Schneider and Jessica (Dillon) Alvarez; great grandchildren, Morgan (Ben) Walker, Logan Bewley, Jordan Bewley, Nathan Bewley, Eden Bewley, Lydia Bewley, Micah Bewley, Aaron Schneider, Haleigh Paton and Spencer Paton; great great grandchildren, Kevin Walker and Hudson Walker; brother, Herbert Damin.
