A Mass of Christian Burial
Condolences
I was very surprised and saddened when I learned of Eileen's death at Mass this morning. My wife, Patty, plays keyboard at Saint Chris at various Masses each weekend. When she played, I would alway sit on the end of the second row behind the organ so Patty could sit with me during the homily. I got to know Eileen, who sat behind me, along with several friends. I work as a Chaplain at a local hospice, and when Jay was diagnosed with cancer, she sought my insight as he underwent treatments. She was heartbroken when he became ill and when he died, but her faith kept her going. Her love for Bill and her dedication to him was inspiring. Each time I would see her, she would update me on his condition. She so dearly loved her family and she was a very classy lady. Please accept my sympathy and know that I was deeply touched by her goodness. May God enable your comfort and bring you peace.
We are so sorry for the loss of Eileen. She lived across the street from us, and we absolutely love her and Bill. She was a tiny woman but left a huge footprint in the world. She was loving, gentle, kind, welcoming, and a joy to know.
We feel honored to have been a part of her life. She made a deep impact on our hearts and we miss her terribly already. Our prayers will continue for healing, and for God’s grace for Bill, and the entire Archer family. Eileen will be treasured in our hearts forever.
I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Archer's passing. Though there is no real comfort, we do know she along with Jay are in the arms of our Lord. In her name, a donation has been made to the Cancer Support Community.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
We are so sorry to hear of our Aunt Eileen's passing. She was such a sweet soul and could make anyone feel at home. My college friend and I drove from Ohio to visit in 1997 and she treated my friend like a grandson.
Uncle Bill, we will keep you and your family in our prayers now and in the future. May God give you peace, comfort and love!
I am so sad to hear of the loss of my friend Eileen. We sat next to each other at church for the last few years. She would talk about her family, how much she cared for them and how she was still mourning the loss of Jay. She was a sweet and wonderful woman and friend. I called her recently to see how she and Bill were doing. It is so hard for me to comprehend that she is not here anymore. I treasure the picture that I have of the two of us that another friend took.
And to the family, you have suffered two losses in a short time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers - especially you Bill.
Bless your family at this difficult time. Eileen was a wonderful neighbor to my sister and brother in-law. She will be missed.
To Uncle Bill and family:
Please know our deepest sympathy is being sent your way. We love you and will being
praying the Lord with comfort you just now. Aunt Eileen was such a beautiful person
both inside and out.
Love and prayers to all,
Joe and Vicki Archer
