Evelyn Joyce Layton, 91, of Indianapolis passed away on March 11, 2017. Evelyn was born in Indianapolis on October 10, 1925 to Harry and Cora (Brittan) Shaffer, both preceding her in death. She was a member of the Bridgeport Eastern Star and Lynhurst Baptist Church. Evelyn was a Westside Indianapolis resident for 91 years. Her charitable heart lent her talents to those in need, and Evelyn had hand-made over 350 Chemo hats for patients at Hendricks Regional Hospital Cancer Center.
