Condolences
My condolences to the family. The loss of a loved one is never easy. May our loving God continue to bless and strengthen you as you remember that his Word the Bible at John 5:28, 29 says that there is going to be a resurrection. With this promise it is possible for you to see her again. The best Friend a bereaved person can have is our Creator, Jehovah God. We are encouraged at 1 Peter 5:7 to pour out our heart to him in prayer because "he cares for you." Moreover, he promises that all who do so will have their thoughts and feelings soothed by "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding." (Philippians 4:6) Please allow God to help you heal by means of his Word the Bible along with the site jw.org that has a wealth of information about God's future promises for those asleep in death and for all who are living. May all the many wonderful memories that Virginia your loved one provided comfort you during this most difficult time.

John,
We did not know when we met at the hospital that the final journey for your mother was so near. Know my thoughts and prayers are with you as you move forward. I know that you are blessed with wonderful memories and consoled that your Mother is now at peace and has no pain.
Virginia, Ginny, was very special to me. She gave me her beautiful daughter Linda as my best friend, and gave of herself in a dark time in my life when she came to the hospital as we kept vigil for my dying husband. She herself was not very well, but there she was to bring comfort and words of wisdom that I will never forget. She was also very witty and fun and good company, and had great personal courage and strength. When I think of the word "lady", in all its good meanings, Ginny Porter epitomized this. She gave her all, and she was very loved in return. Truly hers was a life well lived. Farewell dear friend!
