Obituary of Harry Ralph Elliott
Harry Ralph Elliott of Indianapolis passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016, he was 92. Harry was born in La Salle, IL on September 10, 1924 to Harry and Anne Zita (Keys) Elliott. Harry had many things to be proud of. He was most proud of his relationships with his wife, five children, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, and expecting one additional great-grandchild any day. He was proud of the opportunity to go to spring training for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1943, but he was unable to accept that opportunity because he was drafted into the U.S. Navy. He proudly and bravely served as an Electrician’s Mate from June 1943 to June of 1946. Harry worked at Monarch Motor Company from 1965 – 1991 as a Sales Manager. He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church from 1965 to present and a member of Knights of Columbus since 1948. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Lion’s Club.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Steve (Emily) Jensen; son-in-law, David Robison and a great-granddaughter Bayleigh Jensen. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Helen Tracy Elliott; daughters, Susan (Darryl) Scott and Carol Robison; sons, Thomas (Suzy), Michael, Robert (Pam); grandchildren, Scott (Cretia) Jensen, Kurt (Amy) Robison, Kevin (Sarah) Robison, Stephanie (Rob) Graham, Charlie Elliott, Clark Elliott, Elizabeth Elliott, Brooke Elliott; great-grandchildren, Austin Jensen, Brynleigh Jensen, Seth Jensen, Ryan Jensen, Madelyn Jensen, Zoe Jensen, Kyle Robison, Evelyn Robison and Adelaide Graham. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. Christopher Food Bank 5301 W. 16th St. Indianapolis, IN 46224 or St. Vincent De Paul 3001 E. 30th Street Indianapolis, IN 46218.
