Obituary of Theresa Ann Walsh
Theresa Ann Makdisi Walsh, 61, of Indianapolis passed away September 19, 2015. She was born April 9, 1954 in Ann Arbor, MI to George and Margaret Anderson Makdisi. Theresa earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and after briefly teaching French, worked in computer programming for twelve years.
Theresa was an executive administrative assistant in the IT department at Indiana University for the last fourteen years where she excelled in the implementation and completion of projects. Her organizational skills were exceptional, so much so, that at this very moment she is dictating her own obituary after having just planned her funeral arrangements!
Theresa loved to knit and had been knitting for over 50 years. She often visited lighthouses, especially around Lake Michigan. She loved the water and the quiet. When she was at home, she loved to garden, cook and putz around her home.
Her greatest love, though, was for her two intelligent, attractive and successful children, who survive her, Kathleen Margaret and Stephen Clark.
Theresa is also survived by her siblings, John Makdisi, Catherine Viscusi, Thomas Makdisi, Ann Mazur and Jeanne Makdisi; nieces, Marianne Harrison, Susan Galiano, Kira Viscusi and Angela Ney; nephews, Daniel Candelora, Michael Makdisi, Joseph Makdisi and Michael Viscusi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23 from 10 am – 12 pm with a funeral service at 12 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls.
At the family’s request, all donations may be made to the Indianapolis Intergroup, 1915 W. 18th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. Please put “In Memory of Theresa Walsh” on the memo line.
