Obituary of David Lamberg

David Alan Lamberg, 63, of Indianapolis passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020. He was born in Indianapolis to Ann R. and Roy J. Lamberg on May 2, 1956. David attended Indianapolis Public School 85 during his elementary years, then John Marshall and North Central High School before obtaining his GED. He worked as an automotive mechanic at various franchises across Indiana and as an Environmental Service Specialist at St. Vincent Hospital and various schools and offices around Indianapolis. David was a member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Michael K. Jones. David enjoyed any venue dealing with racing and race cars, such as Carb Day' at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and he even attended the Indy 500 race on numerous occasions. He also attended local drag races. David was an avid fisherman who enjoyed being out on the water whether he caught anything or not. He loved to spend time outside with family and barbecuing. David enjoyed helping his friends repair, restore and build race cars. He was excellent at the game of chess and shooting pool, he played in numerous pool tournaments. He loved to play poker for fun or money. David was unselfishly willing to give himself to anyone in need. David was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Elliott Lamberg; mother, Ann R. Lamberg; and nephew, Christopher A. Lamberg. Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Roy (Marlene) Lamberg; sons, Danny Lamberg, Cash (Adrean) Lamberg and David Lamberg; daughter, Kelli Lamberg; step-daughter, Lindsey Swank; brothers, Michael (Mona) Lamberg and Paul (Barbet) Lamberg; sisters, Ruth Lamberg, Sharon Lamberg, Glenna Greathouse, Carol Lamberg, Catherine Lamberg and Marlene Donaldson; grandchildren, Jackson Smith, Shelby Smith, Charlotte Lohmeyer and Grace Lamberg; and a host of nieces, nephews, special friends and his companion, Sue Brown.
