OBITUARY FOR ANDRES AVELINO ROBLES JIMENEZ Andres Avelino Robles Jimenez was born on November 10, 1942 in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic, to Candida Jimenez and Eugenio Robles. He was the last surviving sibling of eleven. He is survived by his loving wife, Melania Fernandez; their three children, Yanet Robles (Gerardo Encarnacin), Jose Luis Robles, and Oscar Robles; eight grandchildren, Leandra Encarnacin (Stephen Johnson), Gerad Encarnacin, and Melanie Encarnacin; Abril Batista, Tatiana Robles, Kevin Andres Robles and Jarlis Robles; and Yoskar Andres Robles and Yosvaldy Robles; two great-granchildren, Lucas Johnson and Jade Johnson; mother-in-law Ana Fernandez, and a plethora of sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and many, many friends. At 77 years of age, Andres left behind beautiful memories of fun and laughter with his immense family. In September of last year he and his wife celebrated fifty years of marriage. His family remembers him as a wonderful husband, father, grand-father, son, brother, and friend. His is known as a strong, quiet gentleman, who was humble and gentle. He was never heard to raise his voice at anyone, except his son-in-law, Gerardo, during his first six years of marriage with Yanet. In the beginning it was not a loving relationship, which brings tons of laughter to all the family, as they remember all that he did and said about his son-in-law. That relationship later blossomed into a beautiful relationship of love and mutual respect between the two gentlemen. He spent most of his working days in construction. He was a jack-of-all-trades, always taking care of whatever needs would arise, whether plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical work, or anything else around the house. He was an amazing handy-man. He spent years taking care of his brothers and their needs into their last days. He lovingly cared for his mom and dad into their last days, as well. He would always serve others in their needs. He grew from a quiet, reserved man to a fun-loving and great and humorous conversationalist, especially after a drink or two. He is known for his favorite saying, "Eso no es naaa," which translates to "That's nothing." He enjoyed his grandchildren immensely. Both his grandchildren and his nieces and nephews were crazy about him. His love for his family was unlike any other. His death has left his family and friends heart-broken, but the legacy he leaves is one of hope, joy, and a love for life. He will forever be remembered and he will be immeasurably missed.
