Obituary of Sofia Fields

Sofia Ann Fields, Age 67 of Brownsburg, Indiana passed away July 29, 2023.  Sofia was born November 17, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Sofia grew up in a military family. She lived in Florida, Georgia, Germany, and California, but always considered the Indianapolis area her home.  She graduated from Brownsburg High School.

The keystones of Sofia’s life were her faith and her family. She was a lifelong member of the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church where she sang in the choir and served in the “Circle of Serbian Sisters” church women’s group.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Donald Fields; and her niece Angela.  She is survived by her older brother James Fields and her sister-in-law Terri Fields; a large extended family of beloved cousins, and her church family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saint Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church building fund.  May her memory be eternal.
