Obituary of Youlan Wang

We honor and remember the life of Youlan Wang, who was born on August 15, 1969, in Si Chuang, China, and passed away on May 1, 2026. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and devotion to her family and friends.

 

After leaving her hometown of Chongqing, China, Youlan made her home in Indianapolis, Indiana, and later in New Concord, Kentucky. She found meaningful work as a massage therapist, serving others with care and dedication for eight years. She was devoted to her husband, Doug Manning, with whom she shared two years of marriage. In her daily life, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, shopping for clothes, and visiting new places.

 

Above all else, Youlan was a beacon of love and resilience, always putting family and friends first. She leaves behind her loving husband, Doug Manning, her mother Long Fangda, her children Li Zhang (JiaJia Du), Yu Zhang (Bao Han) and Lin Zhang (GuangHui Li), her step-son Lucas Manning, her brother YouHong Wang, her granddaughters JinYi Du and ShangYi Du, her nephew Wang Dong, and her sisters-in-law Camy Broeker, Cindy Bussell, and Christy Manning. Her mother-in-law, Delores Manning, and several nieces and nephews, also survives. Youlan is preceded in death by her father, Wang Chengyin.

 

Youlan will be remembered for her warm presence, generous heart, and the care she showed to those around her.  Her memory will remain with all who knew and loved her.

 

Family and friends are invited to share memories and photos in honor of Youlan and to celebrate her life and legacy.

 

Funeral services for Youlan will be held at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026 , with visitation from 4:00 PM until time of service.
