Obituary of Ademola Adejala
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ademola Adejala, a loving father, cherished son, kind-hearted brother, and loyal friend. Born in Lagos, Nigeria on September 6, 1977, Ademola lived a life defined by his deep love for family, his unwavering dedication to his profession, and his generous spirit that touched the lives of many. He passed away on April 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service.
Ademola was a man of numerous admirable qualities. He was affectionately known as “Ogbodu,” a name bestowed upon him by his late father that embodied his strength, resilience, and vibrant spirit. His educational journey, which began in Nigeria and culminated in Indianapolis, Indiana, was a testament to his intellectual prowess and unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He held a Diploma in Microbiology from Kwara State Polytechnic, Nigeria, and a Nursing Assistant Diploma from Harrison College, Indianapolis. He was a devoted Christian, who believed in the power of giving and was actively involved in supporting his church.
Ademola found his calling in the healthcare sector, where he served as a beacon of hope and comfort for those in need. He was driven by a desire to alleviate suffering and bring peace to others, traits that made him a cherished member of his profession. His hobbies, which included cooking, shopping, and bowling, were all avenues through which he expressed his love for life and people. His achievements were numerous, but what mattered most to Ademola was family, love, and caring for others. He was deeply devoted to his children and family, constantly putting their needs before his own and ensuring everyone around him felt loved and supported.
Ademola is survived by his children, Oluwaseyi, Divine, and Nelson Adejala; his mother, Beatrice Adejala; and his siblings, Adetola, Idowu, Alaba, Bamidele, and Adekunle Adejala. He was preceded in death by his father, Noah Taiwo Adejala.
As we mourn the loss of Ademola, we are reminded of the words in 2 Timothy 4:7 - "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Indeed, Ademola fought the good fight, finished his race, and kept the faith. His life was a testament to his strength, resilience, and unwavering faith in God.
The funeral service will be held at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 West 10th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46224 on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 1:00pm EDT.
