Obituary of Anna Heldak

Anna Heldak, 68, of Paragon, Indiana, passed away peacefully in her home on April 16, 2026. Anna was born in Czarna Góra, Poland to her parents Frank and Maria Heldak on June 28, 1968.
Anna had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. She was  a compassionate, humble, loving, and supportive soul, and her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her loved ones. Anna pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a police officer. Anna had a strong desire to work as a police officer because she believed in making a positive impact in people’s lives and in being in a position to help those in need. She graduated from the academy to become a police officer with the Chicago Police Department. Anna will be remembered with love and appreciation by all who knew her.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Maria Heldak, brother Joseph
Heldak, her sister Mila Labuda and nephew Jeffrey Heldak. Anna is survived by her
sister, Maria Mateja, Brother-In-Law Joseph Mateja, Sister-In-Law Leona Heldak,
Nieces Krystyna Mateja-Simpson, Renata Mateja, Rennie Heldak, Nephews Richard
Labuda and David Labuda with many other great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 25 th from 11:00am to 1:00pm with services to follow.
Anna’s final resting place will be next to her parents and near her brother and sister at
Resurrection Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums in Justice, Illinois.
