Obituary

Carroll "Bud" Harvey Garner, a loving and adventurous soul, was born on August 29, 1950, in Cleveland, OH. Bud, as he was affectionately known, was a beacon of support and a thoughtful presence in the lives of many. His life was a testament to his favorite quote, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." He lived every day with a sense of purpose and a zest for life that made him irresistible to all who knew him.

Carroll spent his childhood in Cleveland, Ohio, and later, Florida, before settling down in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he spent 30 beautiful years. His journey was not always smooth, but his adventurous spirit and supportive nature saw him through. He served our country with distinction in the army, receiving an honorable discharge, and later worked diligently as a warehouse worker in the logistics industry. Carroll was a dedicated Mason and an enthusiastic entertainer who brought joy to everyone with his barbeques. His greatest award, however, was the love and respect he earned from his family and friends. His love for his work, family, and entertaining was evident in the way he lived his life every day.

Carroll is survived by his children, Marcella Garner, Christopher Garner, Chiquita Pritchard, Monay Lassiter, and his grandchildren, Nautika Taylor, Shawn Garner, Antwan Murray, Marcellius Garner, Ashley Lassiter, Deyouna Lassiter, and Thomas III. His friends, Gerald Johnson and James Garnes, also mourn his loss. Carroll was preceded in death by his father, Carroll Garner, mother, Della Anderson, and his beloved wife, Virginia Garner.

Carroll's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His life was a tapestry of loving moments, adventurous journeys, and supportive gestures. We invite you to share your memories of Carroll and upload photos to the memorial page as we remember a man whose life was as beautiful and thoughtful as the love he shared generously with us all.

Mr. Carroll will truly be missed by all who knew him. He was always smiling and friendly. He had a unique saying or comment for each person he worked with and would say it each time he saw you. It always made me smile. I will miss seeing him in the breakroom and on the warehouse floor. I look out to where I would always see him working and there is a quiet emptiness now. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and work family. May he rest easy and enjoy his rewards in Heaven. Blessings to you all.
