Della was a resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, for the last nine years of her life, but her heart remained connected to the diverse communities she had touched throughout her life. For 30 years, she worked in the dietary department of Community Hospital, Munster, Indiana. Her commitment to her work in the healthcare field was not just an occupation, but a calling. She was known for her warm smile, her compassionate nature, and her ability to comfort those in need. She retired in 2003, but the impact of her work echoes in the halls of the hospital and in the hearts of those she served.

Della was a widowed matriarch, whose courageous spirit and unwavering love live on in her cherished daughter, Loretta Pugh. Della was preceded in death by her loving parents, Nelsie and Charlie Rumph. The strength of her character, the depth of her compassion, and the sincerity of her love will continue to inspire her loved ones.
