Obituary of Faustino Sanchez

We gather to celebrate the vibrant life of Faustino Sanchez, born May 26, 1959, in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, who graced our lives with his compassionate heart and creative spirit until February 20, 2026. His dedication to education was a testament to his commitment to nurturing the minds of the future. Faustino found joy in the simple pleasures of life, playing the piano, and immersing himself in the Word. His resilience was a beacon of light to those around him, a lesson in courage that will continue to inspire us.

A devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Reform Movement, Faustino lived by the scripture, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10)

Faustino’s journey took him from his birthplace, through New York City, and finally to Indianapolis, Indiana, where he spent his retired years. He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith, survived by his wife, Alejandra Sanchez, his children, Elika, Jeremiah, and Moises (Erica) Sanchez, and his treasured granddaughter, Daphne Sanchez.
