Obituary of Jack Warren Flory

*** PLEASE SEE THE SERVICE TAB FOR UPDATED SERVICE DETAILS.***

With a heart brimming with compassion and a spirit that radiated generosity, Jack Flory was a beacon of warmth in the lives of those who knew him. Born on May 13, 1957 in Indianapolis, IN, he lived his life with a loyal heart and a witty mind, bringing joy to those around him until his departure on January 18, 2026. Jack lived his life embodying the words of Albert Schweitzer, "The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others."

Jack's love for life was evident in his many passions. He was a dedicated driver in the transportation and recovery industry, a position he held with pride, skill, and dedication. His love for old cars and trucks was more than just a hobby—it was a passion that allowed him to connect with others and share his knowledge and enthusiasm. Not one to stay idle, Jack also found solace in the calm and serenity of fishing, an activity that allowed him to appreciate the simple things in life.

But what mattered most to Jack was his love for his mom, Georgetta Flory, who survives him. Their bond was a testament to Jack's compassionate nature and his steadfast loyalty. His family was his world, and he leaves behind a rich legacy, survived by his mother, Georgetta; his brother, Richard Jr. (Ludy); his sister, Sheryl Koenig (Clayton); his nieces, Karen Tipton, Julie Andrews, and Cassie Flory; his nephews, Richard III (Amanda) and Chris Moss; his step-children, Billie Jo Muston and Robbie Muston; grandkids, Dallen Nichols, Josh Nichols and Devony Porter; a host of great nieces and nephews; friend, Danny Markus; and his caregivers, Greta Willis and Adeline Still. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Sr.; his nephew, Tony Andrews; sister-in-law, Cora Flory; and brother-in-law, Homer Koenig. .

In the words of Kahlil Gibran, "Generosity is giving more than you can, and pride is taking less than you need." Jack lived by these words, and his legacy of undying loyalty, wit, generosity, and compassion will continue to inspire us. We invite all who knew Jack to share their memories, stories, and photos on his memorial page, celebrating the extraordinary life of this exceptional man.
