Obituary of John Edward Schilling Jr
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Schilling Jr, a man of boundless energy and intelligence. John or J. R. was fondly known by many was born on September 18, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is the son of the late John Schilling Sr & Lorene Edward.
John loved to hunt rabbits and deers, go fishing, camping & target shooting. He also loved the Martial Arts, playing chess and watching movies.
He joined our Creator on December 31, 2025 Through his journey of 72 years he touched many lives with his wisdom, humor and unwavering spirit of perseverance.
John served his country in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Schilling, his sister Terril (Earl) Gilleland, His children Eddie, Johny (Cristina), Amanda, Ledian, Andy & his 12 grandchildren.
At John's request there will be no viewing/services at this time. A U.S. Naval Military Honors service will be held at 10 AM, on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 at Stevens Mortuary.
