Terri Coomer

Obituary of Terri Lynn Coomer

Terri Lynn Coomer, born April 7, 1972 in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away surrounded by love on November 1, 2025, at the age of 53. She spent nearly her entire life in Indianapolis, where she built a legacy of kindness, dedication, and unwavering care for others.

Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Sandra Strahl and Ronald Lynch; her sister, Tammy Donahue; and her husband, Blaine Coomer.  Terri’s memory will forever be cherished by her sons, Blake and Jacob Coomer; her sister, Tonya Lynch-Strahl; and her brother, Tim Long.

Terri devoted her life to caring for others, beginning her career as a medical assistant and working her way up to becoming a Case Manager for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Her educational milestones were among her proudest accomplishments, especially the day she graduated nursing school and officially became a registered nurse. She was admired not only for her professionalism, but for her deeply nurturing spirit — a quality that touched patients, coworkers, friends, and family alike.

Outside of her work, Terri found joy in life’s simple, peaceful moments. She spent her free time tending her garden, relaxing at home with her three chihuahuas, and caring for the family she loved above all else.

Terri lived by the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” and she embodied that philosophy every day of her life.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family.
