Obituary

Louise Frances "Franny" Sekula-Little, a cherished matriarch and beacon of strength, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, at the age of 103. Born on November 22, 1921, in Indianapolis, IN, Franny's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, kindness, and gentle spirit.

Franny spent her formative years in Indianapolis, where she cultivated a love for the simple joys of life. Her career as a clerk typist was marked by her tenacity and leadership, earning her the affectionate nickname "Sarge" from her colleagues. Despite her tough exterior at work, Franny's heart was always tender towards her family and friends.

A devout Christian, Franny was a long-standing member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's trials and triumphs. She had an ardent love for the Blessed Mother and prayed the rosary daily. She instilled this faith in her children, Linda Bloomer, Larry Little, and Chris Little, who remember her as a pillar of strength and love. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Michelle (Philip) Combs and Michael (Jennifer) Bloomer, who were the light of her life.

Franny's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. Her love for the outdoors was evident in the countless hours she spent tending to her garden and nurturing seeds and plants in her greenhouse. Franny's frugality was legendary, a trait that served her well throughout her life and taught her family the value of resourcefulness.

Cooking was another of Franny's talents, especially when it came to Asian cuisine. Her friends gathered around her table on special occasions to enjoy the delicious meals she prepared with love. A pet lover through and through, Franny's cats and dogs were her constant companions, providing comfort and joy in her quiet moments.

Franny's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of love, resilience, and grace. She will be remembered as a faith-filled woman whose kindness and gentle demeanor touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she has left behind. As we bid farewell to Louise Frances "Franny" Sekula-Little, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that has undoubtedly found its eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family request charitable donations in Franny's memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church 1401 S. Mickley Ave Indianapolis, IN 46241.

To the family - I was so sad when I heard of Mrs. Littles passing! Jeff and I so enjoyed her phone calls, and visits when she would walk over to chat. Often telling Jeff he needed to sharpen the blades on the tractor, or why wasn't we feeding the birds! Which by the way we do all the time now!! She allowed my son and his friends to play basketball in her driveway when we didn't have a goal - which our son now almost forty will tell you was an honor! We are blessed to have known this amazing full of life lady! She more than deserves her wings! God Speed Mrs. Little - we will keep the tractor blades sharp and the birds fed!
