Obituary of Jamie Christopher Kelley
Jamie Christopher Kelley, known affectionately to friends and family as Jamie, passed away on October 12, 2025, in Indianapolis, IN. Born on October 17, 1969, in Boston, MA, Jamie brought joy and laughter to all who knew him throughout his 56 years of life.
Jamie was the beloved son of Karen Brown, and cherished stepson to Phillip Brown. He was the proud father of Jakob Kelley, who was the light of his life, and the caring brother to Rebecca Brown. Jamie was beloved by his family and friends and known for his kindness to others.
Professionally, Jamie was a respected low voltage Project Manager and Estimator for Ermco Electric, and was valued for his meticulous work and innovative solutions. He was an active member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), where he not only contributed his expertise but also formed lasting friendships. His colleagues will remember him as a mentor who was always willing to share his knowledge and experience with others.
Jamie's interests were as diverse as his skills. He was an ardent sports fan, faithfully supporting all Boston teams, which reminded him of his roots and the city he held dear. He loved reading books, his favorites being historical books and crime novels, where he would immerse himself in facts, mystery, and intrigue. Additionally, Jamie had a passion for cinema, often engaging in discussions about the latest films and his all-time favorites. He was known for quoting movie lines, eliciting laughs and recognition from his friends
His soft spot was as a cat lover. His feline companions were a source of comfort and joy, and he could often be found relaxing at home with a cat curled up in his lap.
Jamie's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the warm camaraderie of his his son and friends. He lived his life with a warm smile, a mischievous sense of humor, and a generous spirit that will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
As we bid farewell to Jamie, we celebrate the remarkable person he was and the countless ways he enriched our lives. His presence will forever be missed, but the memories he created will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who cherished him. Jamie's story is not one of sorrow, but of a life well-lived and full of purpose. May he rest in peace, knowing that his was a life truly well-lived.
