William John Bennett 

June 14, 1943 – September 14, 2025

William J. Bennett (Bill) passed away on September 14, 2025. He was able to be with his wife of 58 years, Mary. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother, Margaret (Miles) Bennett and father, Charles Bennett. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Don Bennett and two sisters, Charlotte Westerfield and Patricia Price. He is survived by a brother, Fred, his daughter, Joanna Henry, and son, Charles and daughter-in-law, Kim. He was Pepaw to three grandsons, Cale, Creighton, and Camden. He was a Navy veteran and also worked at Indianapolis Power and Light for 35 years. He loved visiting the Holt Road American Legion, Sandy Beach on the Ohio River, Panama City Beach, and any out of the way breakfast joint. A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 4, with a celebration of life service at 11:00 AM at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10^th Street Indianapolis, IN 46224.
