Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Miklich

Elizabeth Ann Miklich formerly of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at her home in Avon, IN on July 15, 2025 at the age of 93.  She was born on June 1, 1932 in Elkhart, IN to Stanley and Jeanette (Littleton) Checkley.  She married the love of her life, Raymond J. Miklich on June 22, 1957, in Elkhart, IN.

Elizabeth and Raymond were blessed with a huge number of friends in Elkhart. They enjoyed years of dancing, golf, attending sporting events, and activities at the Knights of Columbus, IARA, Elks, and Moose social clubs.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Raymond; a brother Joseph Checkley, a sister Mary Kathryn Balyeat and a granddaughter, Elaine Pishon.  She is survived by two daughters Marianne Benjamin of Indianapolis and Christine (Mark) Pishon of Zionsville; two sons Joseph Miklich of Avon and Steven Miklich of Bristol; three grandchildren, Sydney Miklich (Jonah Knip), Joshua Pishon and Lucas (Lex Weber) Pishon; one Great granddaughter Amelia Jo Knip, and two special loved ones, Kathleen Holmes and Rebecca Kent.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, Aug 1^st from 10 to 11 a.m. with a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Susanna Catholic Church 1210 E Main St., Plainfield, IN.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Franciscan St. Frances Hospice, 421 N. Emerson Ave., Greenwood, IN 46143 or Hendricks County Humane Society, 3033 E. Main St., Danville, IN 46122.
