Robert White

Obituary of Robert Jeffery White

Robert (“Bob”, “RJ”) Jeffery White, 66, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025, in his home.

Robert was born on December 25, 1958, to George and Barbara (Parham) White in Marietta, Georgia. He graduated from Campbell High School in Smyrna, Georgia, and quickly started a family. He took classes at Kennesaw State University and worked most of his life in heavy equipment, where his attention to detail and technical knowledge led to his long-term role in inventory management. He moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1989, where he lived the rest of his life.

Robert was known for his sense of humor; he had a “dad joke” for any situation and lived by the age-old adage of never taking himself too seriously. He took great pride in his lawn; he quickly became the envy and go-to guy for neighbors seeking advice on everything from trimming techniques to the best fertilizer. What many did not know was that Robert was also a talented artist, with most of his work being made for his loved ones. His conversations often revolved around sports talk; he loved to check in each March Madness to see what picks others had made and often found a way to brag on any and all Georgia sports teams. Living to see the Atlanta Braves win the World Series in 2021 and the Georgia Bulldogs claim the College Football Championship in 2020 and 2021 were special memories for him.

Robert is survived by four children: Kerri (Bill) Edger of Douglasville, Georgia, Krista Ward of Largo, Florida, Kandice White of Saint Petersburg, Florida, and Kiersten White of Brownsburg, Indiana; two siblings: George William White of Smyrna, Georgia and Barbara White of Atlanta, Georgia; and twelve grandchildren: Katelyn Edger, Emily Edger, Maddie Edger, Peyton Edger, Dayleigh Edger, Ewan Greene, Sadie Edger, Ione Greene, Josie Edger, Grayson Edger, Zander Edger, and Isla White. He also leaves behind his dear friend and neighbor, Beth Jackson.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

In his later years, Robert wished to donate his body to medical research, in hopes that others may learn and benefit. To honor this passion, we ask that memorial contributions be made to The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy. Per his wishes, no services will take place, but we appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.

“They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”  Isaiah 40:31
