Obituary of Regina Mae Kroft

Regina Mae Kroft, 89, of Indianapolis IN went to be with Jesus, her Savior, on July 12, 2025.  Regina was born on January 27, 1936, in Winamac, IN to William Henry Kroft and Caroline Ruth (Klampe) Kroft. 

Regina’s life was a testament to her loving, kind and selfless nature. She attended Purdue University, where she not only pursued her passion for knowledge but also shaped her destiny as an educator. After receiving her master’s degree in education, she dedicated her life to enlightening young minds as a Chemistry teacher at Speedway High School.  She taught there for nearly 40 years.

Her influence as an educator left an indelible mark on the community, with countless students carrying her lessons of curiosity and compassion into their own lives. 

Regina’s life was one of purpose and impact, and her absence will be deeply felt by all her knew her.  Her gently spirit, generous heart and love for the Lord will continue to inspire those she has left behind.

Regina is survived by her nephews Steven (and wife Leanne) Williams of Indianapolis, IN; Robert (and companion Alycia Hyde) of Stockbridge, GA; niece Karen King of Poway, CA; 2 great-nephews, 3 great-nieces, 1 great great -niece and 2 great great-nephews; close personal friend Alice Jane Parker; and her loyal and loving caregivers, Shavonn Scott-Lynem and Trace Greer.

Regina is preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Sue (Kroft) Williams, and her parents.
