Obituary of Michael Joseph Testerman

Michael J. Testerman, a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on May 21, 1960, to Anastasia Huneck and the late Joseph Testerman.

 

Michael's life was characterized by his creative spirit.  He was a remarkable man who left an indelible mark on the world with his craftsmanship. A lifelong woodworking craftsman, he devoted his career to creating custom furniture and cabinetry that not only stood the test of time but also reflected the beauty and precision of his craft. A man of many virtues, but best remembered for being exceptionally handy and creative.

 

Michael's legacy is lovingly cherished by his family: his mother, Anastasia Huneck of Indianapolis, IN; his son, Jess (Ashley) Testerman of Ladoga, IN; his daughter, Brandi Collins of West Lafayette, IN; his grandchildren, Jayda, Carlee, Layla, and Wyatt; his sisters, Joan (Bob) Hamilton of Warren, IN, Cynthia (Greg) Hellman of Indian Land, SC, and Janet Beady of Muncie, IN; his brothers, David (Lauren) Testerman of Blufton, SC, and Dennis (Marianne) Testerman of Gastonia, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Testerman, and his brother, Robert Testerman.

 

Michael's life journey was a testament to the power of passion and perseverance. His presence was a gift to those who knew him, and his absence will be felt deeply. As we say goodbye to Michael J. Testerman, we celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy that will endure through his family, his work, and the countless lives he impacted.
