Each day something small reminds me of mom.
Sometimes I smile, sometimes I cry.
When I walk through the family home I see glimpses of the things that made mom so special.
Long ago used items tucked away clean and ready for use anytime needed.
Outfits in the closet with matching shoes and purse from past special occasions … ready to be used by someone else making memories.
Coupons clipped but never used… recipes cut but never made.
Everything carefully organized, to be pulled out and used at a minutes notice.
I am grateful to have shared life with mom, dad and my sister Judy and I’m sorry for the unique loss they both feel.
I will miss mom just always being there … prepared… with open arms, a kiss and a warm smile
