Obituary of Jeanne R Mohr

Jeanne Mohr, born March 26, 1930, in Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025. Jeanne dedicated her life to teaching, spending 30+ remarkable years shaping the minds of 5th-grade students at Indianapolis Public School 50. She was deeply beloved by her students, who appreciated her unwavering commitment and care.

Jeanne's devotion to her students extended beyond the classroom. She often bought clothes, books, and supplies for those in need, ensuring that every child had the resources to succeed. Her classroom was a model of excellence, admired and emulated by fellow educators.

Jeanne was predeceased by her parents, Tony and Anna Mohr, her sisters Mabel Ann Cauble, Annie Mohr, and Margaret Mohr, and her beloved aunt Molly Bozich. She is survived by her brother Bob Mohr, Sr., and his wife Mary Frances, as well as 9 nieces and nephews, 16 great-nieces and nephews, and 11 great-great-nieces and nephews.

A special thank you is extended to niece Mary Ann Cox and her husband Larry for their devoted care of Jeanne over the last 15 years following her stroke. Jeanne's legacy of love, dedication, and generosity will be cherished forever by her family, friends, and countless students whose lives she touched.

Thank you to the wonderful team at Wellbrooke of Avon for their exceptional care and compassion towards Jeanne. Your dedication and kindness made a significant difference in her life, and we are truly grateful for everything you did.

 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on June 6, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 9833 E. County Road 750 N, Brownsburg, IN. Interment to follow in CalvaryCemetery. Services entrusted to Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN.
