Obituary of William E. "Bill" Crow
William E. Crow “Tuff” passed away in his home on May 17, 2025, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. He was 77 years old. Bill lived up to his nickname Tuff, defeating cancer multiple times, surviving a vicious robbery, beating as a young man, and having his thumb bit off by a pet dog; he truly was the toughest Crow we know! Bill was a member of Bethel Family Worship Center and was active in the ministry for many years. He spent many years as an entrepreneur, owning several businesses over the years, including a furniture store, a video store, a convenience store and most recently a bakery. Bill loved his family and loved spending time with them. He welcomed 6 great-grandbabies into the family, 4 of them in the last year. He was a rock to his children, always there with a listening ear and a bit of fatherly advice. He was a true friend, always willing to lend a hand in time of need. He had no enemies. Bill was the life of the party, sometimes a bit of a shit starter, but always in fun. He loved race time and spent a lot of time at the Speedway in his younger years and was able to share that love with his youngest son. He enjoyed watching the Colts and the NASCAR races and old western TV Series like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Rifleman. Bill is preceded in death by his parents Viola (Sharp) and Edward Crow, grandparents Mary and William Sharp and Mamie and Edward Crow, sister Carole Bledsoe and son-in-law Dennis Long. He is survived by daughters, Shannon Anderson (Jimmy), Jaime Long, Courtney Darling (Duane), Ashley Crow and Jordan Richardson; sons Dylan Crow, Glen Asberry, Devin Gerbofsky (Kylie), and Derek Duvall, nephew Joe Curry, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 22, 2025, at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46224 from 4:00 pm-8 pm and services Friday 5/23/2025 at 10:00 am with burial immediately following Floral Park Cemetery, 425 N.
