When John was at the dinning room before he went to memory care, he used to say “look at that girl smiling at me, she’s cute” i used to wave and smile make at him. he didn’t say much when he wanted to order but i knew what he wanted to eat
Meeting Brie’s Great Uncle John at the Rickelman/Monfreda family reunion was one of the highlights of the day. We had the most lovely conversation about my home state of Alabama and told me fascinating stories about his life. Chatting with Uncle John was full of humor and warmth and reminded me of chatting with my Grandfather that I miss dearly. Brie brought out the Dutch Blitz card game and he watched us all frantically play with a smile on his face, He said he always loved card games. I am honored to have met Uncle John and our short visit made a big impact. I will remember him fondly ❤️Sending all of Uncle John’s family and friends my love
Sincere and heartfelt condolences and prayers for the Monfreda family. Too many good memories to count.
Sheila and John were icons working with kids in CYO. They were a great team and wonderful people.
Prayers and love to you all. Many happy memories with all of you and your mom and dad with our family. Peace be yours. Your dad was a gem. Katrina Knarr
I did not have the honor of meeting Mr. Monfreda. I was classmates with his son, John, who is my birthday twin, and with his cousin Rhonda. Mr. Monfreda left a strong legacy! His son, John, told many stories of his father with such love and admiration. I know he will be greatly missed. My prayers and condolences are with the entire family. I’m sorry for your loss.
