Obituary of Rosalie M. Felisky
Rosalie M. Felisky passed away on April 5, 2025, at Compassus Hospice with her family at the bedside. Rosalie was born to Nelson and Katherine Tyler on August 21, 1931, in Flint Michigan. She met and married James F. Felisky on October 15, 1955, in Flint, Michigan. They were happily married for 53 years. She moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1964 for Jim’s work. She resided in Indianapolis Indiana for the remainder of her life.
Rosalie was a charter member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church and a lifelong parishioner until she was no longer able to attend. She was the school secretary for St. Gabriel’s School for 17 years. After retirement from there she decided, she did not want to sit at home and was the receptionist for St. Augustine Home for the Aged for 10 years.
She found many things to occupy her time that included her love of playing bingo, working jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. She was an avid collector of dolls and angels of which she had many. Most of all she loved her time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by the following: her parents Nelson and Katherine Tyler, her husband James, her siblings James Tyler, Theresa Glasgow, Kathleen Tyler, and granddaughter Emily Johnson.
Surviving family includes sisters Elizabeth Reger, Jackie Boris and brothers Michael Tyler, and Reverend Fr. Bernard Tyler. She is survived by her children Deborah Felisky, Francine (Kevin) Figg, Jennifer Johnson and James (Becky) Felisky. She was blessed with 8 surviving grandchildren: Katie (Frank Stewart), Kyle, Cody Felisky, Meredith Figg, Victoria (Aaron) Evers, Lauren, Ian (Brooke), and Michael Johnson. She had 5 great grandchildren: Avery and Addison Stewart, Madelyn and Mackenzie Evers and Riley Johnson.
Visitation will be on April 10,2025 at Stevens Mortuary from 4-8 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Malachy Catholic Church Brownsburg Indiana on April 11, 2025, at 12 noon. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery, date to be determined.
