I had the honor of meeting Gary through his daughter Melissa ( Missy ) unfortunately I was only allowed a short time with him. But in that short time I was so honored to be able to say I've never met a man that was so kind and often put others 1st. It saddens me that he never got the chance to use the fishing stuff I got him for Christmas. I did know how to win him over with my cooking as I made him homemade chicken & noodles and Ham & Beans with his fried potatoes & corn bread lol. I write Dad on his card for Christmas and although he was not my biological dad Gary will always be remembered in my heart as Dad. I know with out a doubt you've found the perfect fishing spot save some big ones for me. This is not a goodbye only a see ya later. Rest in Heaven they say God only takes the best and he got the best when he took your hand & said come with me my son your job is done on earth I'm here to take you to your entenel home. Your no longer in pain & cancer is no longer in your body. Until we meet again.
My fondest memory of my uncle is when I was probably 8 or 9 and it was my first communion. I had on a white dress and veil and loved my uncle so much. After the ceremony we went back to our house for a party and I was standing next to him with my dress and veil acting like I was going to marry him. He had the biggest smile on his face as did I. You were the best uncle and always made me feel welcome. You never asked for anything from anyone and had the biggest heart. I hope you are resting peacefully and spending a lot of time with grandma, grandpa and my mom and dad. I love you!
I fondly remember Gary, in Middle School and High School. He was always so genuinely kind, and made everyone smile with his witty personality!
My sincere and deepest sympathy to his family at this time of great sorrow.

The world lost one of the most genuine down to earth, fun loving man. He was always cracking jokes and making all of laugh.
He always treated me like a daughter. I won't forget the last time I popped over to his house and he stood and talked to me about life and of course he had me laughing. I hope you are up in heaven making them all laugh like you did us down here. You will be missed dearly. The Gonzales Family love and will miss you!
