Obituary of Ronald "Ron" Morgan Latimer
Ronald “Ron” Morgan Latimer, 72, of Indianapolis passed away on January 22, 2025. He was born in Searcy, Arkansas to Harry G. and Verna L. Latimer on October 9, 1952. He was a 1970 graduate of Searcy High School, where he met the love of his life, Catherine. Ron dedicated 47 years to a successful career in the Steel Rebar business until his retirement in 2018. Known for his strong work ethic and love of the simple pleasures in life, Ron enjoyed drives in his truck or Jeep, working in the yard, and sitting in the sunroom watching nature. He also loved westerns, music, and cheering on his granddaughters on as they played softball and volleyball.
Above all, Ron was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished watching his daughters grow into incredible women and took great pride in his granddaughters. His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life and brought him immense joy.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Harry G. and Verna L. Latimer, and his brother, Jack Latimer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Catherine Kariya Latimer; daughters, Jennifer C. Latimer (married to Chris Gryszowka) of Coatesville, Staci M. Latimer (married to Brandon Booher) of Greenwood, and Jessica L. Latimer of Indianapolis; granddaughters, Caitlin Gryszowka and Erin Gryszowka, both of Coatesville, Evelyn Booher of Greenwood, and Bailee Latimer and Morgan McKnight, both of Indianapolis; sisters, Carolyn Phillips of Bryant, AR, and Sandra Dean of Reed Springs, MO; nieces and nephews, Amanda Jolly, Traci Trusty, Todd Dean, Allison Page, Charlie Dean, Tara Irvin, Holly Latimer; Monica Cross and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th Street Indianapolis, IN 46224 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, February 10, 2025.
