January 11, 1990 – October 27, 2024
Emily Katherine Johnson, FNP., age 34, of Brownsburg, IN passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024. She was born January 11, 1990 to Jennifer and Michael Johnson, of Indianapolis, IN. Emily attended Cardinal Ritter High School where she graduated in 2008.
Emily went on to pursue her degree in Nursing, which was a passion of hers. Emily received her Bachelors in Nursing from Western Governors University in September 2018. She later went on to procure her Master's in Leadership and Management which she completed June 2021. Finally, she received her Master's in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), which she graduated with honors from Purdue University in May 2023.
Emily had a strong passion for people, she enjoyed helping others and would give the shirt off her back to someone in need if she had to. Emily had a huge heart and touched many lives personally and in her professional life.
Emily enjoyed spending time with her family and friends in her free time. She also enjoyed reading, antiquing, and spoiling her dog-son, Obbie. Emily accomplished many goals in her short time here on this earth, and had many more goals she wished to pursue. Emily was a light to many, fun to be around, and full of joy!
At the time of Emily's passing, she was employed at Franciscan Physician Network Southside Family Medicine – Crawfordsville, doing what she loved as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Emily enjoyed the people she worked with and loved caring for her patients.
Emily leaves to cherish her memory her mother Jennifer Johnson, father Michael Johnson, sister Lauren Johnson, brothers Ian (Brooke) and Michael Johnson, niece Riley Johnson, aunts Deborah Felisky and Francine (Kevin) Figg, and grandmothers Rosalie Felisky and May Johnson, best friends Edward Huffman, Erica White, and Myeshia Higgins; and a host of other family and friends. Emily was preceded in death by her two grandfathers James Felisky and Roy Johnson Jr.
